About This Role:
The Physician role provides family practice or primary care healthcare services to KSU students and other eligible persons through patient education, diagnosis, and treatment of general medical, surgical, gynecologic mental health, dermatological, and musculoskeletal problems.
Directly provides exceptional family medicine healthcare services to eligible patients at Lafene Health Center. This physician will maintain a scope of practice contemporary to the needs of college health including diagnosis, treatment, referral for consultation or specialty services, follow-up care, and serve as a positive, compassionate, and respectful resource to patients.
Works cooperatively with other Kansas State University departments to be a healthcare resource, as well as to provide care consistent with appropriate standards. Collaborating departments may include but are not limited to K-State Athletics, Facilities, Recreational Services, Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health, etc.
Works cooperatively with the Lafene Health Center's Medical Director, Administration, and all clinical and clerical staff in order to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment to the benefit of our patients. Directly contributes to the well-being of patients and the health center through collaboration, commitment, hard work, and adhering to the policies and procedures of Kansas State University and Lafene Health Center.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
• Requires a doctorate degree in medicine and one to three years of relevant experience
• Graduate from an accredited AMA or AOA school
• Board Certified in internal medicine or family practice
• Must hold a current Kansas license to practice medicine and surgery, and a current DEA certificate
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
• Some variable hours during evenings and Saturdays
