The Educational Technologist is part of the Faculty Support team and reports to the Associate Director, Faculty Support and Digital Learning Environment. This position will support PSU faculty in using digital technologies by providing consultation and just-in-time support at the OAI Faculty Support Desk, providing both in-person and virtual technology training opportunities for faculty, and maintaining digital technology support resources for the OAI faculty support website (OAI+). This position will play a critical role in evaluating support request trends to make recommendations for supporting faculty in the Digital Learning Environment through documentation and resource creation.

This position will also assist the Associate Director in coordinating the operation of the Faculty Support Desk by maintaining and overseeing the administration of intake and support requests, assisting with scheduling the Faculty Support desk, and working with the Associate Director to maintain systematic and ongoing communication to faculty about available technologies and technology support services.

All duties will be informed by best practices in digital pedagogy. The position will work to assist the Associate Director in maintaining the Digital Learning Environment and assist other OAI staff in developing and maintaining new and innovative support materials for faculty. This position will also assist OAI in researching best practices in Digital Learning, with an emphasis on new and emerging technologies.
