Position Title: Research Technician – Extra Help (Fisheries, Darter project)

Description: The Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is seeking a full-time hourly Research Technician to aid graduate students in stream surveys within the Ouachita Mountain ecoregion of Arkansas. The selected individual will gain experience conducting stream surveys using a variety of sampling gears and develop fish identification skills. Opportunities for conducting independent research will be available. Camping in an air-conditioned camper will be required. This position will require long hours in adverse weather conditions as well as constant walking through streams carrying equipment. Preferable candidates will have field-work experience and be comfortable working with computer software including Microsoft Excel and Word as well as GIS.

Start Date: July 1, 2020

End Date: September 30 (Extension possible given satisfactory performance)
