Vice Provost for Enrollment Management
The University of Georgia (UGA) seeks a dedicated, experienced, and highly motivated professional to serve as the inaugural Vice Provost for Enrollment Management.
Since our founding in 1785, the University of Georgia has operated as Georgia’s oldest, most comprehensive, and most diversified institution of higher education. The proof is in our more than 235 years of academic and professional achievements and our continual commitment to higher education. UGA is currently ranked among the top 20 public universities in U.S. News & World Report. The University’s main campus is located in Athens, approximately 65 miles northeast of Atlanta, with extended campuses in Atlanta, Griffin, Gwinnett, and Tifton.
UGA employs approximately 3,000 full-time faculty and more than 7,700 full-time staff. The University’s enrollment exceeds 40,000 students, including over 30,000 undergraduates and almost 10,000 graduate and professional students. Academic programs reside in 18 schools and colleges as well as a medical partnership with Augusta University housed on the UGA Health Sciences Campus in Athens.
As one of the top public universities in the nation, UGA offers a culture of academic excellence and opportunity made all the richer by our renowned faculty, community of scholar-citizens, and vibrant student-life program.
In fall 2022, UGA welcomed over 6,200 incoming first-year students, representing our largest and one of the most academically qualified classes in history. Building upon a record of success and commitment to enrolling talented students who excel in the classroom and their communities, the Vice Provost will develop and execute the vision for a new era of enrollment management for UGA that brings greater coordination, strategy, and sophistication to these efforts. The Vice Provost will report to the Vice President for Instruction/Senior Vice Provost for Academic Planning and work closely with the President, Provost, and other academic leaders and serve as a member of the University Cabinet, the institution’s official policy-making body.
The successful candidate will be an innovative and strategic enrollment manager. The new Vice Provost will possess the skills to lead enrollment in a complex environment; superior communication and listening skills; exceptional analytical capacity and technological sophistication; the ability to make connections across the University; and an understating of holistic enrollment with attention to balancing multiple priorities and goals.
