Job Description:
Description of Duties:
As a member of the Research Foundation Human Resources Team, the HR Assistant will assist with the following:

  • Onboarding and New Hire Orientation Efforts. Including I-9 verifications, E-Verify, etc.
  • Review of employment paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with Research Foundation hiring policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the Faculty and Department Administrators’ point of contact for Recruitment and Onboarding.
  • Administration of the recruitment process and applicant tracking system. Act as a liaison with advertising resources.
  • Education for employees and managers on new or revised employment policies and procedures.
  • Research and analyze HR data and prepare reports as requested by HR leadership and management.
  • Administration of the annual performance review process.
  • Facilitation of training and development programs.
  • Time & Attendance monitoring.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization with at least one year of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or a related field OR an Associates Degree and at least two years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or a related field, OR at least an equivalent of four years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or a related field OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex regulations.
  • Proficient with Excel and other MS Office program.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Employment laws and regulations. Department of Labor, EEOC, FLSA, ADA etc.
  • Position requires an individual that can proactively manage multiple tasks and has a strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing work environment.
  • An absolute commitment to confidentiality, honesty and integrity is required in this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a university, non-profit organization, or research environment.
  • PHR Certification preferred.

Additional Information:
Salary Range: $50,000 – $58,000
