MU Extension 4-H Center for Youth Development provides leadership and expertise with developing communities of young people across Missouri who are learning citizenship, leadership, and life skills. 4-H is publicly supported by county, state, and federal partners, as well as private resources to enrich the learning experiences of both youth and adults. The Missouri AfterSchool Network (MASN) is housed within the 4-H Center for Youth Development. MASN brings partners together to provide a statewide system for the development, implementation, and ultimate sustainability of high quality, safe, nurturing afterschool programs for extended experiential learning, academic achievement, and social, recreational, and personal life skills development espousing the principals of best practices in youth development for all Missouri students during non-school hours. This position is a full-time benefit-eligible position with the University of Missouri Extension 4-H Center, responsible for supporting the implementation of the Youth Development Credential (YDC) Scholarship Project within the Missouri AfterSchool Network and working as a team member throughout MU Extension.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Track and processing 1000 Youth Development Credential (YDC) Scholarships funded through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Stabilization Act (CRRSA). This includes maintaining detailed spreadsheets or a database on the progress of scholarship recipients and following-up with participants as needed.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general and fiscal reports on the number of individuals served by the YDC project. This includes preparing monthly reports to be used for per unit billing by MU to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Assist with marketing and recruitment efforts including mailing materials, posting to social media, making presentations, and answering email and phone questions about the project.
Assist with the review and approval of submitted documentation per the YDC Policies and Procedures approved by the Missouri School Age Community Coalition (MOSAC2) and administered by MASN.
Conduct all activities in accordance with the Civil Rights Acts, Title IX, Rehabilitation, Americans with Disabilities Act and local, state and region affirmative action plans.
As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of MU Extension.
LEADERSHIP RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
This position reports to the YDC Senior Coordinator. Functional supervision may be exercised over student assistants.

Salary Range: $19.23 – $22.84 hourly

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours is required.
Remote work is an option when projects do not require in-person presence and incumbent is meeting daily deliverables and quarterly goals.
Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Prior experience working with record keeping projects.
Familiarity with afterschool programs preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Professional and friendly demeanor with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of individuals.
