Stony Brook University, one of America's most dynamic public universities and an internationally recognized research institution, seeks a strategic, imaginative, analytic and inclusive leader to serve as the next vice provost for enrollment management (vice provost).

It is an exciting time to join Stony Brook as President Maurie McInnis began her tenure on July 1, 2020. Reporting to the provost and senior vice president for academic affairs and serving as a member of the Provost's Advisory Council, the vice provost will help the University establish a creative and coherent vision for enrollment and budget goals, ensuring a student body of the size, quality, diversity and character expected of Stony Brook University as well as the achievement of net tuition revenue goals. The vice provost for enrollment management will lead the areas of Undergraduate Admissions, International Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarship Services, Enrollment Communications, Enrollment Research, the Registrar and the Health Sciences Office of Student Services (the Registrar's Office, admissions, financial aid and general student services for the Health Sciences Schools). Additionally, the vice provost will be a key partner to other academic and administrative units working on campus-wide initiatives.
The vice provost will be able to quickly navigate change through data-informed and collaborative decision making. The new leader should have a proven record of accomplishment in helping to shape new programs and exploring entrepreneurial tactics to enhance undergraduate enrollment efforts as well as in serving as a partner to senior leadership to look at graduate enrollment. A collaborative, transparent and forward-thinking approach will be an important asset to establish trust and cooperative partnerships across this large, complex and decentralized public university.
