Facilities & Operations Coordinator

Full-time, 12-month, permanent, Civil Service overtime eligible staff position located in Library Administration in the Washington State University Libraries. This position reports to the Head of Systems and Technical Operations and will be based at our WSU Pullman Campus.

Summary of Duties:  The Facilities & Operations Coordinator will serve as the Libraries’ main contact for facilities, inventory and surplus issues for the Libraries on the Pullman campus (Owen Science & Engineering Library, Holland & Terrell Libraries & the Animal Health Library in Wegner Hall).  Coordinates facilities and some technical operations. May supervise student employees. The successful candidate will begin as either a Program Coordinator or a Program Assistant depending on their level of experience.

Required Qualifications:

   Program Coordinator:

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in facility coordination OR maintaining or tracking inventory OR fiscal support OR equivalent experience.

   Program Assistant:

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.

 Required Qualifications for all Levels:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications for all Levels:

  • Working knowledge of Workday.
  • Knowledge of WSU Business Policies and Procedures.
  • Experience in higher education, local or state agency, or equivalent.

Monthly Salary:

Program Coordinator: Range 38, $3,096 – $4,013

Program Assistant: Range 35, $2,890 – $3,734

Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
