Full-time, 12-month, permanent, Civil Service staff position located in Library Systems in the Washington State University Libraries. This position reports to the Head of Systems and Technical Operations and will be primarily based at our WSU Pullman Campus, however, remote/hybrid opportunities may be available and can be discussed during the interview process.
Summary of Duties: As an independent, customer focused IT professional, this position has lead responsibility for the WSU Libraries and Center for Digital Scholarship and Curation services and applications. This position also provides advanced support for other IT groups, institutions and individual users of library supported services. Specific duties include (but not limited to): system and application support, end-user support, infrastructure planning and design for application hosting, process documentation.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of professional experience. Preferred: Experience with administering Drupal instances (7/8/9/10) with Drush; experience with cloud infrastructure and hosting services (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Pantheon.io, MS Azure); experience planning, documenting, and performing application and service migrations; experience working with commonly used scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Ruby, Bash, Python); experience with Windows and Linux Server Administration; experience tracking computing problems and problem resolution. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.

Monthly Salary: Range #06IT, $6,672, – $8,973, (Step A-M). Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
