Library & Archives Paraprofessional 3

Library and Archives Paraprofessional 3; WSU Libraries.  Full-time, 12-month Civil Service staff position located in Technical Services in Holland Library.  The primary responsibilities of this position are copy cataloging, repository maintenance, binding/thermabinding, physical serials processing, and newspapers.

Required qualifications:  High school graduation or equivalent and three years’ experience in the functional operations of a library or archives.  Equivalent education or experience will substitute.  One or more years of experience beyond the entry level in the functional operations of a library.

Preferred:   Working knowledge of Alma or equivalent Library management systems; working knowledge of cataloging rules and OCLC; working knowledge of MARC 21 format for holdings standards; working knowledge of automated binding program (e.g. ABLE); demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Salary: Range 39 | $3,294 to $4,385 (Steps A – M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
