The Common Core State Standards and Teacher Preparation: The Role of Higher Education is a discussion paper that highlights three areas where universities have a key role to play in providing leadership for the Common Core State Standards: aligning higher education curriculum with K-12 curriculum; preparing and educating teachers; and conducting research on issues of teaching and learning.
