Equity Action Plan

PxP Equity Action Plan

In 2021, Powered by Publics (PxP) commissioned an equity consultant, Advisory 83, to assist in advancing our first two strategic priorities.

  • Taking explicit action to pursue educational equity for low-income, first-generation, and students of color (Hispanic/Latinx, Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, Asian, and two or more races), and other populations for which the university aims to improve equity.
  • Committing to transparency by sharing data and monitoring progress toward equity goals.

Over the course of several months, APLU staff working on Powered by Publics received training and coaching, including a needs assessment and strategic plan development with senior leadership. These efforts culminated in the creation of a strategic equity action plan to support our 16 transformation clusters in developing continuous improvement aims and scaling institution-wide equity practices. The strategic plan was revealed at the 2021 Powered by Publics Annual Meeting.
