Dialogue
Dialogue is at the heart of the Powered by Publics peer-learning network and community of practice. APLU staff working on Powered by Publics will continue to develop opportunities for cross-cluster learning, sharing, and collective action across the Learning Hub areas of Affordability, Teaching & Learning, and Holistic Student Supports.

Data
Powered by Publics is committed to using data to inform decisions and to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic efforts to improve student success for marginalized populations. To that end, PxP institutions have agreed to share disaggregated data on eight key metrics through the  Core Data Metrics, accessible through the VSA Analytics platform. In addition, the IFS institutions are actively engaged in the Postsecondary Data Partnership. The  Data Maturity Index (developed by the Data Integration Cluster) assesses the strengths and weaknesses of an institution’s data capacity, and the  Data Literacy Institute (implemented with Cluster 14) is designed to enhance data skills and build a community of practice around the effective use of data on campus.

Diversity
Powered by Publics will continue to support and welcome the diverse coalitions forming within the initiative’s transformation clusters.

Inclusion
In alignment with our Equity Vision, Powered by Publics seeks to center and serve students’ needs. We are building out a sustainable apparatus to assist us in building relationships with students on our members’ campuses. Our first phase for this work is being launched in March 2022 through a series of Equity Roundtables.

Equity
Powered by Publics is advancing four strategic priorities including taking explicit action to advance equity. Recent activities include a strategic equity action plan and the Commitment to Equity statement.
