2026 CSC Summer Meeting


Register now for the 2026 APLU Council on Strategic Communications (CSC) Summer Meeting from Sunday, July 12 to Tuesday, July 14 in Denver, Colorado! 

Both informative and fun, the CSC Summer Meeting is a terrific opportunity to network with fellow senior communications and marketing leaders from other public and land-grant universities, exchange best practices, and develop new ideas to improve strategic communications and marketing efforts. 

Featured topics this year will include discussions on:

  • Winning community support and communicating the value of higher education beyond degrees and debt;
  • Maximizing the use of AI in university marketing and communications;
  • A conversation with university presidents on the challenges and opportunities facing public research universities;
  • Crafting effective emails that engage recipients and achieve results;
  • AI search engine optimization to ensure that institutional content remains visible and discoverable online;
  • Small group discussions on a variety of timely and relevant topics;
  • Brand listening and managing feedback and perceptions of your institution.

This year’s meeting will begin with a welcome reception on Sunday, July 12 at the National Western Stock Show’s Legacy building.

On Monday, July 13, the group will begin morning programming at Colorado State University’s Spur Campus before traveling to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for dinner at the restaurant overlooking this iconic, world-famous venue! The group will then have the option to stay for Film on the Rocks, a movie screening and beloved summer tradition at Red Rocks. Local music artists will also be performing.

On Tuesday, July 14, programming will consist of morning sessions at Colorado State University’s Spur Campus followed by a trip to the University of Colorado Boulder for one more session and a reception. The group will then have the option to walk to the nearby Colorado Shakespeare Festival for an outdoor performance of Twelfth Night.
