The Professional Grant Writer and Editor provides expert writing, editing, and proposal development support for faculty and research teams across TAMUS institutions, improving proposal quality, competitiveness, and funding success rates.
Responsibilities:
– Draft, edit, and refine proposal narratives for federal, foundation, and industry sponsors.
– Collaborate with faculty to articulate compelling research impact, innovation, and broader impacts.
– Review proposals for compliance with sponsor guidelines and evaluation criteria.
– Develop boilerplate content, institutional descriptions, and shared proposal resources.
– Coordinate proposal timelines and writing schedules.
– Provide writing workshops and grantsmanship training.
– Support development of white papers, concept papers, and strategic research communications.
– Maintain quality assurance processes for major proposal submissions.
– Other duties as assigned.
