APLU’s Vice President for Economic Development and Community Engagement Sheila Martin and Washington State University Extension’s Michael J. Gaffney invite interested APLU members to join a group of university leaders making a difference in rural communities through the APLU Learning Exchange Forum on Rural Engagement for Resilient Communities. The forum a series of monthly phone calls for APLU members to exchange best practices and address shared challenges for how public universities can engage and support vibrant rural communities and economies.
The APLU Commission on Economic and Community Engagement – which convenes APLU senior administrators with responsibility for planning, executing or communicating work across talent and workforce and tech-based economic development – is leading the forum, which is open to all APLU members.
