2019 Summer Meeting Preview

The registration websites for many APLU council and commission summer meetings are now live. APLU councils convene university leaders with comparable titles, working in similar positions, to address critical issues and expand their knowledge base within their professional area of expertise. APLU commissions convene individuals, regardless of position and from multiple disciplines across the universities, to address critical issues and expand their knowledge base in areas of common interest. The councils and commissions’ summer meetings provide a forum for discussing issues they’re dealing with on campus. Not every council/commission’s summer meeting registration sites is live yet.

• HBCU Engineering Faculty Workshop, Nashville, TN, May 22-24.
• Network of STEM Education Centers 2019 National Conference, Omaha, NE, May 31 through June 2.
• Joint Commission on Economic & Community Engagement (CECE) and Council on Research (COR) Summer Meeting, State College, PA, June 16 through June 19. There are two registration sites for this joint meeting. If you’re a member of CECE, register here. If you’re a member of COR, register here.
• Council on Academic Affairs Summer Meeting, Minneapolis, MN, June 21 through June 23.
• Joint Coalition of Urban Serving Universities and Commission on Access, Diversity, and Excellence Summer Forum, Boston, MA, June 27 through June 28.
• Council on Student Affairs Summer Forum, Seattle, WA. June 30 through July 2.
• Commission on International Initiatives Summer Meeting, Burlington, VT, July 14 through July 16.
• Council on Strategic Communications Summer Meeting, Boise, ID, July 14 through July 16.
