Apply for the APLU Degree Completion Award by July 1

The application period for APLU’s Degree Completion Award is now open, with applications due July 1. All APLU institutions are strongly encouraged to apply for the award after reviewing the application and guidelines.

The winner will be announced during the APLU Annual Meeting on November 10-12 in San Diego, California. Additionally, up to five finalists for the award will be showcased at a prominent session during the APLU Annual Meeting at which a representative from each institution will present an overview of their work and sit on a panel to discuss innovative degree completion practices.

The APLU Degree Completion Award seeks to identify and honor APLU institutions that are using innovative evidence-based initiatives to decrease achievement gaps and/or increase degree completion for undergraduate students. This award complements key efforts, such as the association’s Powered by Publics initiative, in providing member institutions with innovative and promising evidence-based practices for adoption, adaptation, and scaling.

Past winners of the APLU Degree Completion Award are: Wayne State University; University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa; University of California, Riverside; Morgan State University; University of Tennessee, Knoxville; Florida State University; Georgia State University; San Francisco State University; and Florida International University
