APLU is seeking proposals for a total of $90,000 in funding for up to three pilot projects exploring different models of University-Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) collaboration for small- and medium-sized manufacturers’ (SMM) technology adoption. APLU is soliciting two-page pre-proposals from interested parties; the deadline for submission is 5:00 PM EST on April 16.
The purpose of the pre-proposal is to identify MEP-university partners interested in developing and testing new models for MEP-university partnerships that will advance technology adoption in SMMs. Applicant teams must include both an MEP Center receiving current cooperative agreement funding from NIST and a research university. The partnership may also include additional “sub-partners” to enhance the core university-MEP partnership model.
The grant opportunity is made possible thanks to the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program.
