APLU and the Coalition of Urban Serving Universities (USU) provide Collaborative Opportunity Grants (COG) to help member universities partner with community organizations to tackle often-overlooked barriers to student success. In July, APLU and USU announced three new COG grants in the first cohort of schools working to advance 21st Century Skills.
Through this grant, the University of Alabama at Birmingham is providing students paid internship opportunities to grow their data analysis skillsets by working with local private-sector employers in education, philanthropy, technology and beyond. Read a profile of UAB’s work as part of the grant.
