Designated as an Innovation and Economic Prosperity University by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, the University of South Florida increased its total research expenditures from $459.4 million in FY 2013 to $488.6 million in FY 2014 – a 6.4 percent increase – although research funded by the federal government decreased 1.2 percent. Good news for USF … and Tampa Bay.
