APLU Statement on Naming of Kelvin Droegemeier as Acting NSF Director

APLU President Peter McPherson today released the following statement about the naming of Dr. Kelvin Droegemeier as Acting NSF Director.

“Dr. Droegemeier is an exceptional choice as acting director of NSF until the Senate acts on Dr. Sethuraman Panchanathan’s nomination. Having served as vice chair of the National Science Board he is well versed on NSF’s programs and operations. It’s great we have such a valuable science leader already notably serving the government who can step in for this temporary, yet critical assignment.”
