David Edelson

David Edelson is Associate Vice President for Public Affairs & Member Engagement at APLU. He works across communications, member engagement, digital initiatives, and major meetings to support APLU’s member institutions and the association’s mission. His responsibilities include overseeing member communications, managing key digital platforms, and helping plan APLU’s Annual Meeting. He enjoys finding practical ways to use technology and data to improve the member experience and strengthen connections across the APLU community.

Prior to joining APLU in 2005 he was the assistant director for public affairs at the Police Executive Research Forum—a non-profit membership association of chief law enforcement officers from urban areas. David is a proud graduate of The Pennsylvania State University.
