Bao Le is the Assistant Vice President of APLU’s Data Policy and Analysis office (DPA). She provides leadership for the DPA team to advance the development and application of data, research, and analytics to support APLU initiatives, priorities, and advocacy. Prior to joining APLU, Bao served as the Director of Data Analytics & Impact at the American Association of State Colleges & Universities and provided direction for data strategy and goals regarding collection and analysis of student success data and strengthening a culture of evidence at member campuses.
Prior to joining AASCU, she was an Associate Education Research Analyst for the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) at the U.S. Department of Education. She worked on the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), which collects data from every college, university, and vocational and technical school that participates in Title IV financial aid programs. Bao received her B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas – Austin and an M.S. in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
