Senior Associate, Data Policy and Analysis (DPA)

Rebecca Riley is a Senior Associate for APLU’s Data Policy and Analysis office (DPA).  As part of DPA, Rebecca supports the Commission on Information, Measurement, and Analysis (CIMA), a community of campus leaders committed to advancing the effective and efficient use of data and analytics to guide campus planning and decision-making, as well as the Student Achievement Measure (SAM), a transparency initiative where higher education institutions track students across institutions to create a more complete picture of undergraduate student progress and completion within the higher education system.

Prior to joining APLU, Rebecca worked for several offices within the staff structure of the University of Maryland, College Park. Most recently she was a coordinator for the University of Maryland Senate, collaborating with peer-elected/appointed faculty, staff, students, and administrators participating in shared governance to influence policy decisions at the University level. Her experience coordinating the ten standing committees of the University Senate, as well as preparing data-based presentations and research for high-level administrators, will continue to bolster APLU’s expansive network and impactful work.

In addition to bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and French Language from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, she is also pursuing a master’s in Policy and Leadership at the University of Maryland.
