Manager, Food, Agriculture, & Natural Resources (FANR) Communications

Kim Scotto is the Communications Manager for the Office of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources. In this role, she provides support for the Board on Agriculture Assembly’s strategic initiatives, including social media management, graphic design, website management, email marketing, and meeting planning. She also manages the National Land-grant Impacts Database (NIDB). Kim joined APLU in 2021.

Previously, Kim worked at the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS). She served as the UF/IFAS School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences’ Communications Specialist, and prior to that, as an Administrative Support Assistant II. In these roles she was responsible for helping facilitate a school rebranding; planning events and Advisory Board meetings; and writing and designing digital and print content. 

Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of Delaware. She started her career as an environmental educator and has worked at nature centers and other non-profits in New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Florida.
