About the Accelerating Career Innovations Network

The Accelerating Career Innovations network, co-led by APLU and the Association of American State College and Universities (AASCU), and supported by Strada Education Foundation, builds on the success of the Accelerating Career Readiness initiative. The network brings together leading public research universities to advance education-to-career guidance, ensuring students are equipped for lifelong success in a rapidly evolving workforce.

This initiative is designed to address critical gaps in career preparation by integrating career services more intentionally into institutional strategies. Institutions in the network are piloting employer-aligned curricula, embedding real-world learning experiences into academic programs, and utilizing predictive analytics to improve career outcomes. Many are working to break down improve collaboration, ensuring students in all majors have access to high-impact career development opportunities.

By leveraging innovative career education models, the network aims to help institutions better connect students to high-quality employment opportunities, enhance employer engagement, and develop scalable career guidance frameworks that can be implemented across the sector. With a strong emphasis on student success, participating institutions are working to ensure career services and workforce preparation initiatives benefit all students.

The network includes seven APLU institutions, each playing a critical role in testing and refining innovative career services models. These universities serve as hubs of expertise, piloting data-driven strategies that can be adapted and scaled nationwide.
