APLU’s Alvaro Muñiz will present on the ROI of APLU’s IEP program at the University Economic Development Association Summit in early October alongside colleague Caydan Henslee.

APLU’s Julia Chadwick and Megan Tesene presented on using digital courseware to help drive course redesign efforts in gateway courses at Gardner Institute’s Symposium on Transforming the Foundational Postsecondary Experience. They shared lessons from previous grant work, highlighting the strategies and practices university exemplars employed to cultivate faculty buy-in, build relationships among campus stakeholders, and support departmental-level efforts to adopt new technologies and implement quality pedagogy in gateway courses at scale.

Wendy Fink presented as part of a panel at the March 25th STEM Council meeting of STEMconnector. The panel’s focus was “The STEM Food and Ag Council: Cultivating Talent to Solve a Global Challenge.”

Wendy Fink, APLU’s associate director for Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources, served as a panelist at the North American Food & Ag HR Roundtable. The panel examined how employability skills have changed in food and agriculture fields, where they need to change further, and what universities can do to help agriculture graduates develop skills such as teamwork, leadership, communications, and professionalism.

Craig Lindwarm participated in a roundtable discussion on: New and Traditional Ways of Advancing the Higher Education Agenda at the 23rd annual Higher Education Government Relations Conference organized by the AACC, AASCU, APLU, and CASE.

APLU’s Craig Lindwarm participated in a panel on law and policy at a recent meeting of the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International. Lindwarm discussed the new administration, Congress, and implications for higher education.

APLU’s Director of Congressional & Governmental Affairs, Craig Lindwarm, was invited by the Office of the House Democratic Whip, Steny Hoyer, to brief Chiefs of Staff, Legislative Directors, and Legislative Assistants on the importance of passing legislation to extend authorization for the Perkins Loan Program.
