SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center (SkySong) is leading the transition of the McDowell Corridor from a former “motor mile” of car dealerships to a major innovation hub for the greater Phoenix Region. SkySong represents a major public-private partnership bringing together the university, the ASU Foundation for a New American University, the City of Scottsdale, the Plaza Companies, and the Holualoa Companies.

Launched in 2001, Discovery Park is a $1.15 billion research enterprise based on funding received through sponsored research, private gifts and endowments. Large-scale interdisciplinary research is carried out in Discovery Park with an emphasis on driving innovations to the marketplace. Faculty, students and staff at Discovery Park are focused on solving complex, ‘wicked’ challenges at the nexus of energy, food, water and the environment, and in global health and global security.

In 2014, the Lilly Endowment invested $40 million to advance Purdue initiatives that will promote economic development throughout Indiana. The Lilly Endowment invested in the Wilmeth Active Learning Center, the Flex Lab, the Bechtel Innovation Design Center, the expansion of the Maurice J. Zucrow Laboratories, and faculty development that helped transform the Purdue College of Technology into the Purdue Polytechnic Institute.
