Board of Directors
The Coalition of Urban Serving Universities is governed by a Board of Directors made up of presidents and chancellors from the nation’s leading urban public research universities. This Board provides strategic leadership and guides the Coalition’s work to advance its mission and achieve the goals of the current strategic plan.
Advisory Council
The USU Advisory Council brings together leading organizations outside of higher education that are committed to advancing the health, sustainability, and economic vitality of urban areas — many of which are home to public urban-serving research universities. The Council is a space for knowledge-sharing, strategic alignment, and collaboration between USU and forward-thinking, organizations creating action in Washington, DC and across the country
Presidential Fellow
The USU Presidential Fellow provides counsel and support to the Executive Director by assisting in the execution of the USU strategic plan, advising on grant-funded initiatives, and supporting member recruitment and retention activities. Kim Wilcox, Chancellor Emeritus of the University of California, Riverside, currently serves in this role.
USU is led by presidents and chancellors of America’s leading urban public research universities. The board of directors governs and sets policy for the organization.
