Adaptive Courseware for Early Success

Program Overview

As a network partner of Every Learner Everywhere, the PLC provides support to public universities for the Adaptive Courseware for Early Success (ACES) initiative. The initiative centers around the use of adaptive courseware to improve student success outcomes to eliminate the equity gap for low-income students, students of color, and first-generation students.

  • As a part of Phase One of the ACES initiative, the PLC provides deep-level technical assistance to five institutions for the implementation of adaptive courseware in foundational courses to begin in the 2019-2020 academic year.
  • Throughout Spring and Summer 2019, the PLC visited each of the new member institutions to provide onsite support and learning opportunities for project leaders and faculty as they prepare to implement in the 2019-2020 academic year.
  • The PLC’s technical assistance also includes the development learning opportunities for wider audiences around the leveraging of adaptive courseware to improve teaching and learning. These learning opportunities include workshops, webinars, and other resource development. Check back for access to resources as they become available.

Currently, the PLC provides deep-level technical assistance to the following participating institutions:

Florida International University
University of Central Florida
Cleveland State University
University of Toledo
University of Texas at El Paso
University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley

If you are interested in learning more about the ACES initiative or participating in a future cohort, please contact Megan Tesene, Associate Director of the Personalized Learning Consortium.
